Oxford Scholastica Academy’s brand struggled to keep up with the stellar reputation it had earned.

Since 2013, OSA has offered ambitious 12- to 18-year-olds an authentic Oxford experience through residential courses, online classes, and internships. While the academic side shone brightly, the visual identity lagged behind: heavy serif fonts, cluttered layouts, and mismatched colours failed to capture the vibrancy of the courses and the students themselves. During enrolment season, families make quick comparisons, so an outdated brand was more than a cosmetic issue; it slowed decisions and nudged families toward competitors with a more compelling presence.

A five-phase journey, crafted to amplify what already shined.

The process began with a deep dive: five years of print and digital assets were explored, the marketing lead shared insights, and recurring questions, such as OSA’s connection to the University of Oxford, surfaced early. The brand strategy took shape around four guiding words: Inspirational, Trustworthy, Youthful, and Oxford. From there, a vision called Modern Academic emerged, blending OSA’s signature orange with a richer midnight purple, complemented by warm secondary hues and window tracery patterns inspired by Oxford’s Gothic architecture. The website was reimagined to welcome both students and parents, supported by a comprehensive 48-page brand guide, a robust template library, and hands-on training to ensure the new system thrived.

A brand so familiar that families know it before they even finish reading the page.

The old, patchwork brand that once stalled enrolment decisions has vanished, replaced by a system instantly familiar to parents and students and trusted by school counsellors. The real transformation was not just a fresh set of colours, but equipping OSA's team with a complete toolkit: clear guidelines, ready-to-use templates, and hands-on training. Now, consistency no longer relies on hiring a designer for every project. If your organisation delivers a great experience but your materials quietly lose you decisions in those crucial moments of comparison, the answer is rarely louder marketing. It is a system your audience can recognise in a heartbeat.
