Ad Creative

Your audience did not ask to see your ad. The creative has to make them glad they did.

Every other communication surface your brand controls — your website, your deck, your brochure — is encountered by someone who chose, at least partially, to engage with it. An advertisement is different. It arrives uninvited, in the middle of something else your audience was doing. It has a fraction of a second to justify its own existence before the scroll, the skip, or the look-away.

Ad creative that performs is not just well-designed. It is precisely conceived: the right visual tension, the right message distilled to its minimum necessary form, the right call to action at the right moment in the right medium. Saije Studio designs ad creative built to earn the attention it was not given — and to turn that attention into the action your campaign needs.

ad creative that earns the click

Your ads compete for attention in a relentless stream of content. We design ad creative that stops the scroll, communicates your value in seconds, and makes the right person want to know more.

You can optimise the targeting perfectly and still lose on the creative.

Paid media has become highly sophisticated. Audience targeting, bidding strategies, placement algorithms, attribution modelling — the mechanics of media buying have never been more precise. And yet campaigns still underperform, and the reason is almost always the same: the creative.

An ad that does not stop the scroll does not matter how perfectly targeted it was. A display banner that blends into the page around it generates impressions without generating impact. An out-of-home placement that cannot be read at thirty kilometres per hour has been paid for and ignored. In each case, the budget reached exactly the right person and the creative failed to do anything with that reach.

The consequence is not just a missed opportunity. In performance advertising, underperforming creative directly raises your cost per result — you pay more for every click, every lead, every conversion, because the creative is not doing its share of the conversion work. Fixing the creative is often the fastest way to improve campaign economics without changing the media budget at all.

What we design

Ad creative across every medium your campaign needs.

We design advertising creative for the full range of paid media formats — each built for the specific environment it will run in, the specific audience it needs to reach, and the specific action it needs to generate.
Paid social advertising creative
Static ads, carousel sets, video frame creative, and story formats for Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and X. Designed for the paid context specifically — which is different from organic social content. Paid ads compete against content the user has chosen to see. The creative needs to earn its place in that environment at a higher standard than organic posts, and it needs to be built to the exact specifications of each platform's ad manager.
Digital display and programmatic creative
Banner ad sets, rich media display creative, and programmatic formats across the Google Display Network, programmatic exchanges, and publisher networks. Every standard IAB display size, built to your campaign's creative concept with consistent visual logic across the full banner set. Designed to perform at small sizes and low-attention contexts, where most display advertising fails.
Out-of-home and large-format advertising
Billboard design, transit advertising, station dominations, bus shelters, digital OOH screens, and large-format outdoor creative. Designed for the viewing conditions of each placement: at speed, at distance, with no opportunity to re-read. OOH creative must communicate in three seconds or less. We design for that constraint from the start, not as an afterthought.
Print advertising
Magazine full-pages and half-pages, newspaper ads, trade publication creative, and insert design. Print advertising operates in a lower-noise environment than digital, but the creative standards are higher — print readers are more deliberate, and an ad that feels cheap or generic in a quality publication reflects on the brand. We design print ads that earn their placement.
Direct mail campaign creative
Mailer design, envelope creative, insert cards, and multi-component direct mail packages. Direct mail is experiencing a resurgence for exactly the reason most digital advertising has trained audiences to ignore it: physicality. A well-designed mailer arrives in a context of low competition and high attention. We design for the full physical experience, from the envelope that gets opened to the insert that gets kept.
Campaign creative systems
A complete creative suite across all placements for a single campaign — social, display, OOH, and print designed as a unified visual system. Every format reads as part of the same campaign. Every placement reinforces the same message and visual identity. The audience encounters one coherent campaign idea across multiple touchpoints rather than a collection of disconnected ads. This is how campaigns build frequency without feeling repetitive.
Our philosophy

From brief to traffickable creative. No surprises.

We have refined this process across hundreds of projects. You get a direct, low-friction experience from brief to final file.

01 Creative brief and placement specifications
We begin with the campaign: objective, audience, key message, call to action, placements, and the specifications for each format. If you are working with a media agency or in-house media team, we work from the media plan directly. The creative brief is confirmed before any design begins.
02 Creative concept
For campaign-level work, we establish the creative concept — the visual idea and messaging approach — before full execution begins across all formats. You review and confirm the concept direction. This prevents producing a full creative suite on a direction the client does not align with.
03 Design across formats
Full creative design across the confirmed placement list. You review at a defined checkpoint — typically after the hero format is designed — and provide consolidated feedback before we complete the remaining sizes and placements.
04 Refinement
One consolidated feedback round is included. We incorporate your notes, finalise the design, and deliver in the formats you need: high-resolution PNG and PDF for print and web, and editable source files where requOne consolidated feedback round per creative concept. We incorporate your notes, finalise the design, and prepare for delivery.ired. If the piece will be used across multiple formats or sizes, we prepare each version.
05 Traffickable delivery
Final creative files delivered to spec for each placement: correct dimensions, file formats, weight limits, colour profiles, and any platform-specific requirements. A delivery manifest is included for any campaign with multiple placements so your media team can traffic confidently without ambiguity about which file belongs where.

It all starts with happy customers

"I've worked with Sarah and the Saije Studio team across two companies now, on everything from decks and marketing campaigns to event materials and training tools, and the consistency has been remarkable. They have a strong ability to take complex information and translate it visually with real clarity, often turning things around with impressive speed. Sometimes we'd workshop ideas together, and other times I could hand things off entirely, knowing they'd deliver exactly what I needed without any back and forth. That kind of trust is hard to come by, which is why I knew I could rely on them as I moved into new roles."

Do you handle media buying and campaign management, or just the creative?

We design the creative. Media buying, audience targeting, platform performance analysis, and campaign management sit outside our scope, though we work well alongside media agencies and performance teams. We focus on making the creative as strong as possible. If you need both, we can recommend media partners we have worked with and the two engagements can run in parallel.

What information do you need to brief an ad creative project?

The audience, the platform, the objective (awareness, conversion, click-through), the message, any copy that is already confirmed, and the brand assets we will be working from. If you have existing campaign performance data, share it: knowing what has and has not worked visually gives us a better starting point. The more specific the brief, the faster and better the creative.

Can you design multiple creative sets for A/B testing?

Yes. A/B testing is one of the most effective ways to improve ad performance, and we design for it intentionally. We produce distinct concept directions rather than minor variations of the same idea, so the test produces genuinely useful data. The number of variants is scoped at the brief stage based on your testing framework and budget.

Do you design animated or static ad creative?

Both. Static ads are produced as print-ready or screen-optimised image files. Animated ads are produced as MP4, GIF, or HTML5 depending on the platform's requirements. If you are unsure which format performs better on your channels, we can give a recommendation based on the platform and the objective.

Can you design ads that match an existing campaign visual style?

Yes. If you have an established campaign look that is working, we extend it. If it is not working or you want to evolve it, we can redesign within the same campaign territory or propose a new direction. We always start by understanding what the existing creative was trying to do before recommending any change.

What is the difference between ad creative design and social media design?

Ad creative is designed to drive a specific action: a click, a conversion, a sign-up. The design decisions are made in service of performance. Social media design is designed to build brand presence and audience relationship over time. The visual language may overlap, but the purpose and the success metrics are different. We approach each with the specific objective in mind rather than treating them as the same discipline.
